Various Water Blogs

School Stuff 2 Comments »

As Mr. Fisher requested, the Grade 8s are doing a sweep of the Grade 7s blogs for interesting, high quality water blogs to use during our water systems part of the curriculum. Problem is, most of these are about the environment instead of water like he wants, or the links are broken and won’t work for me no matter how hard I beg and plead. :[

One of the few all-water-all-the-time blogs I’ve seen so far. From what I’ve looked at so far it is appropriate and well made. Made by the Portland Water Bureau.

Waterwired is sponsered by the Institute for Water and Watersheds at Oregons State University. They post frequently and while not eyecatching it’s easy to navigate the site.

Stuff I’ve Done

Uncategorized 5 Comments »

I got a tablet for my computer for Christmas. It’s very versatile, but I’m still getting the hang of it. I’ve drawn quite a bunch, so I’m sharing a decent sized tidbit of  them here.

My first one is a Rifle Grunt from the awesome video game series, Battalion Wars (an innovative action game). I made this one the day after Christmas. Pretty sketchy but I was still getting the hang of it.

A picture of my hero, Mr. Bean. This was drawn mostly from memory. Rowan Atkinson is a genius, I wish he didn’t retire the character.

This is a picture of my world in a nutshell. I entered it in an art competition. I’m really proud of it, and I may expand on this drawing in the future.

A picture of the little girl from the Fruity Cheerios commercial. She absolutely horrifies me with her creepy stare…

R.O.B the robot (who I want for my birthday some year) is in Brawl. They put in one of their most hated peripherals in over a popular choice by the fans called Geno, from Super Mario RPG. And I love it.

A logo I made for a local fireworks company. My first real job, and I’m getting two T-shirts (with the logo on them) and 20 bucks for it. If he likes it, I’ll clean it up and he’ll make T-shirts with it, but if he doesn’t I’ll scrap it and I’ll do something different.

Feel free to comment on my work.
